Hi everyone,
I thought I´d send you all an update, since I have access to an computer and have some time on my hands. Amy and I are currently in a little village high in the Sierras of Andalucia. Now, I´m somewhat used to driving over high mountain passes but the ride up here, sitting 15 feet in the air on a bus the size of an apartment, on a road barely wide enough to fit on, with shocking drop-offs and a guard rail made of aluminum cans, gave me the willies. Amy was terrified. But here we are, in Capileira- a small town clinging to the steepest hills you can imagine. There are some ancient farms spread along the hills and Amy wants to live on one and become a campesina. I´m serious. She doesn´t want to go down the hill again.
Imagine is the key word here. First, I can´t get this computer to read my film card so I can´t send photos- yet. Second, I dropped my camera. When I did, the lens catches- made of the smallest pieces of plastic possible, snapped off. The camera took a few more shots, but it´s now dead. It´s just taking up space in my bag. Amy´s still works, but it sucks. We won´t have the photos we wished for, but hey...
I´ll include one from the web so you get an idea of where we are. It´s pretty cool.

Spain is amazingly like latin America. Not only the language, obviously, but the sensibilities and physical character. Spain has more money, it´s clear, and a history, but the two cultures are much more alike than I expected.
Tommorow we head back down the hill and on to Ronda. From there to Sevilla, Portugal, etc. I may have time in Sevilla to get some photos uploaded. If so, I´ll send another post so look for it.
Adios,
Scott
